FAQS
Sort of.
Most insurance companies don't cover massage therapy the way they cover a doctor's office visit, but here's what does work:
I accept HSA and FSA cards (Health Savings and Flex Spending Accounts) as long as massage therapy is a covered benefit on your plan. The fastest way to find out is to call your insurance company directly and ask.
I'm also a VA Community Care Provider. If you have VA benefits and a referral from your VA primary care doctor, the VA will cover medical massage, usually 12 visits at a time.
Some insurance plans allow you to submit your receipt for reimbursement as part of a wellness benefit. I do have an NPI number, which is printed on every receipt from my office.
I accept cash, all major credit cards, PayPal, Venmo, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, and Cash App.
Yes. With a referral from your VA primary care doctor through the Community Care program, the VA will cover medical massage, usually 12 visits at a time. If you're a veteran navigating this process and have questions, reach out and I'll help you figure it out.
I don't, but Keana (Kiki) Dawkins (SC#13031) does, and she's located in the same building as me. Call or text her directly at (864) 300-4493

Holistic therapies means I'm looking at the whole picture, not just the symptom that brought you in. My approach combines medical massage, functional health consulting, and classical homeopathy to address root causes rather than surface-level fixes.
To be clear: holistic therapies are not a replacement for medical care and are not used to diagnose, treat, or cure any illness or disease. What they do is support your body's natural ability to heal and give you real information and real options when conventional medicine has run out of answers or stopped listening.
If you've ever left a doctor's appointment feeling dismissed, you're probably exactly who I work with.
Classical homeopathy means I use one remedy at a time, because that's the only way to know what's actually working.
Homeopathy is a 200-year-old system of medicine used worldwide. It works by matching a remedy from nature (plants, animals, or minerals) to your unique symptom picture, based on the principle that like cures like. Instead of suppressing your symptoms, the goal is to understand the pattern they're showing and support your body to come back into balance.
A few examples of what that looks like in practice:
1) In conventional medicine, ADHD is often treated with stimulants that speed the body up to match the brain. In homeopathy, I look for the substance in nature that produces the same pattern of symptoms you're experiencing, which allows for genuine balance rather than a chemically induced one.
2) Another classic example: cutting an onion makes your eyes water, your nose run, and everything burn. There's a homeopathic remedy made from onion that can help resolve exactly those symptoms when your body is showing that same pattern.
Homeopathy is deeply personal. Your version of headaches is not the same as someone else's version of headaches, and I want to know your experience: the location, the sensation, what makes it better or worse, what else is going on when it happens. Adjectives, colors, temperatures, textures, all of it matters.
Functional health is a root-cause approach that looks at your body specifically, not a generic protocol applied to your diagnosis.
I analyze bloodwork, hair mineral analysis, and at-home inflammation testing to identify what's actually driving your symptoms, whether that's food sensitivities, mineral imbalances, inflammation, or something else entirely. From there I build a targeted plan using high-quality supplements and lifestyle modifications to address the underlying issues rather than manage the symptoms on top of them.
Your cells are the foundation of everything. When they're inflamed or nutrient-depleted, everything downstream suffers: hormones, energy, cognition, mood. Functional health starts at that foundation.
A few things that make your session go smoothly:
Please read the client policies on my website before your appointment and reach out if anything is unclear. Showing up aware of the policies means we can spend your time on your body, not paperwork.
Arrive 10 to 15 minutes early. Your session starts on time whether you're on the table or not, and I want you to get every minute you scheduled.
You should receive a second email with your Health Information Form. Please complete it at least 24 hours before your session. Note: it may not load on a tablet or smartphone, so a computer works best for that form.
Bring a water bottle, as you'll want it after.
Talk to me during your session. If something doesn't feel right, if you want more or less pressure, if you need to adjust position, just say so. Open communication is how we get you results, not just relaxation.
For Massage
Loose, comfortable clothing works best: athletic gear, tank tops, yoga pants, that kind of thing. For your initial appointment and any re-evaluations, sessions may include postural analysis, passive stretches, range of motion testing, and gentle muscle assessment, so clothes you can move in make a difference.
For Red Light/Infrared Sauna/HaloTherapy:
Bathing suit, workout gear, shorts and a tank top, or undergarments work well, and the more skin exposed, the better your results. Bring a towel or robe and a water bottle. You're welcome to bring something to listen to: a podcast, playlist, audiobook, or meditation, but leave your device outside the booth and connect via Bluetooth to the speakers inside. No electronics in the booth.
Massages:
Water bottle and comfortable clothes.
Red Light / Infrared Sauna / Halotherapy (Salt Booth):
Towel or robe, water bottle, bathing suit or undergarments, and your favorite audio content ready to connect via Bluetooth. No electronics inside the booth.
Payment: I accept cash, all major credit cards, PayPal, Venmo, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, Cash App, and HSA/FSA cards.
One more thing worth mentioning: I have a no-tipping policy. I know that feels unusual in this industry and can be awkward the first time, but it's intentional. I consider myself part of your healthcare team, and tipping isn't part of that dynamic. It's not expected and never will be.
Salt therapy has roots in ancient Greece and is based on the antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial properties of salt. Breathing in salty air can reduce inflammation in the lungs and airways, which makes it particularly helpful for respiratory conditions like asthma and COPD. It's also beneficial for skin conditions.
NOT Recommended for the following conditions:
Tuberculosis
Fever
Contagious conditions
Severe heart disorders
Cancer Presence
Advanced pregnancy
Acute state of respiratory attack
Red light therapy supports skin repair, new cell growth, and rejuvenation, and is well known for reducing the appearance of wrinkles. It also reduces inflammation, increases circulation, and stimulates collagen production.
NOT Recommended for the following conditions:
Pregnancy
Epilepsy
Acute active hemorrhage
Individuals currently taking cortisone injections or steroids
Individual with diseases that involve the retina of the eye, such as diabetes
Use of Red-Light Therapy directly over the thyroid in specific thyroid conditions is not advised
Infrared sauna is a dry heat experience that leaves most people feeling deeply relaxed and restored. It's effective for muscle recovery, detoxification, weight support, and arthritis relief.
NOT Recommended for the following conditions:
Not recommended with active alcohol use
Hemophilia
Fever
Sensitive to heat
Pregnancy
Menstruation
Closed Infections (dental or otherwise)
Conditions with impaired sweating (including Multiple Sclerosis, Central Nervous System Tumors, Diabetes with Neuropathy, etc.)
Joint injuries less than 72hrs or chronically hot/swollen joints

Please arrive 10 to 15 minutes early so we have time to talk through what's going on and map out your session. If you're running late, your session still ends on time, so early is always better. I want you to get every minute you paid for.
Your massage therapist can't read your mind and doesn't know how their massage feels to you. Tell me everything. Seriously. If the pressure's too much, if you're uncomfortable, if something feels amazing, if you need to adjust the table temperature or face rest position - speak up. I want your honest feedback, not you being polite while you suffer through something that doesn't feel right.

What massage does: I'm here to help reduce stress, ease muscle tension, improve circulation, and get your energy flowing better. It's therapeutic bodywork, not medical treatment.
Communication is key: If anything hurts or feels uncomfortable during your session, tell me immediately so I can adjust pressure or technique. You know your body best, I need your feedback to help you properly.
What I can and can't do: I'm trained in massage therapy and bodywork, but I can't diagnose medical conditions, prescribe medications, or do spinal adjustments. If you need medical care, see your doctor.
Your health history matters: Please tell me about any medical conditions, injuries, or health changes before each session. I can't help you safely if I don't know what's going on with your body.
Professional boundaries: My work is 100% therapeutic and professional. Any inappropriate behavior means the session ends immediately and you still pay the full fee.
Health and safety: Massage involves close contact, so there's always some risk of illness transmission (including COVID). We'll both do our best to stay healthy, but we can't eliminate all risk.
I'm here to help you heal, and that means showing up fully for each other.
Rescheduling: Life happens, I get it. Kids get sick, work explodes, emergencies pop-up. Just give me 24 hours heads up when you can so I can offer your spot to someone else who needs it.
Same-day stuff: Seriously, if your kid is puking or you're in crisis, just text me. I'm not going to charge you for actual emergencies. I'm a human, not a billing machine.
First time: You'll go to my next available opening (usually 4-6 weeks out).
Happens again: You lose priority booking ability (other clients get first dibs on popular times).
Third time: We'll need to discuss whether this care model is working for your schedule.
If you just don't show: I'll check on you first to make sure you're okay. Everyone gets one free "oops I totally forgot" because life is chaotic.
First time: You'll go to my next available opening (usually 4-6 weeks out).
Happens Again? You can only grab last-minute cancellations when they pop up no more advance booking. I have to protect the time for people who consistently show up.
Third time: we'll need to discuss whether this care model is working for you.
Your session is designed for YOU: I can't transfer your appointment to someone else. My work requires understanding your specific health picture and that takes proper consultation time.
Getting the most out of your session: Show up 10-15 minutes early so we can actually start on time. Your healing time matters and I want you to get every minute you're paying for.
Talk to me: Please. Tell me everything, what feels right, what doesn't, if something's weird, or uncomfortable. I want your honest feedback, not polite silence. I can't help you if I don't know what's happening.
Bottom line: I respect your time and your healing journey. I just ask for the same in return.
